What this checks

Artwork, properly. We download the image and measure it. Square, JPG or PNG, 1400 to 3000 pixels per side. This is the single most common rejection and the one people discover last.
Owner email. Apple and Spotify send your ownership code here. A typo means you cannot claim your own show, and the error you get says nothing about email.
Required channel tags. Title, description, language, category, explicit flag.
Every episode. Title, permanent GUID, publication date, and an audio enclosure. Duplicate GUIDs are flagged, because apps then treat two episodes as one.
Whether your audio can be scrubbed. Podcast apps request byte ranges. Storage that refuses them produces playback that breaks in ways that look random and are miserable to diagnose.

What it cannot tell you

Whether Apple will approve you. Approval includes a human review of content and metadata, and no validator can predict that. This catches the technical rejections, which are the ones that waste a week each because the feedback loop is days long.
